Dentin Pulp Complex

This course is designed for undergraduate dental students to develop a clear understanding of the dentin–pulp complex. It focuses on the structural and functional relationship between dentin and pulp, including dentinogenesis, pulp histology, innervation, and vascular supply. The course also highlights the defensive responses of the pulp and clinical considerations relevant to restorative dentistry and endodontics.

About Course

This course provides a comprehensive understanding of the dentin-pulp complex, focusing on the structure, development, functions, and clinical significance of dentin and dental pulp. Learners will explore the relationship between dentin and pulp tissues, dentinal tubules, odontoblasts, pulp vitality, and tooth sensitivity. The course also covers pulp responses to caries, trauma, and restorative procedures, along with concepts of pulp protection and regeneration.
