In this course, we learn how an occlusion changes from gum pad stage, to primary dentition, to mixed dentition, to permanent dentition.The course covers the common problems that can be encountered if normal occlusion doesn’t develop. You will explore different clinical signs if any malocclusion is expected and lastly you will gain understanding of when and who to refer to the patient.

About Course

Development of Dentition provides a comprehensive introduction to the growth and development of the human dentition, with a focus on the establishment of normal occlusion. The course explores the stages of occlusal development, including the transition from primary to permanent dentition, and explains important concepts such as leeway space and early and late mesial shifts.
