The Transthoracic Echocardiography (TTE): Views and Windows course provides learners with a structured and clinically oriented introduction to cardiac ultrasound imaging. The course focuses on the principles of transthoracic echocardiography, including standard acoustic windows and commonly used imaging views in routine cardiac assessment.
Students will learn systematic probe positioning, image orientation, and techniques for acquiring clear diagnostic images. Emphasis is placed on identifying normal cardiac anatomy while obtaining parasternal, apical, subcostal, and suprasternal views, helping learners build foundational skills for accurate cardiac imaging and interpretation.
This course has been curated by Riphah International University faculty and staff using publicly available third-party content and Open Educational Resources (OER) for self-paced learning. Learners will engage with curated open-access materials to achieve the course learning outcomes.
